Ten people were hurt, including two suffering life-threatening injuries, on Friday afternoon, December 16, 2016, when a car crashed into a MUNI bus stop in the 800 block of Stockton Street (near Sacramento Street).

Aerial video of the area in San Francisco's Chinatown provided by KRON TV showed a black sedan had crashed into the bus shelter. Shattered glass could be seen all over the ground.

Three total vehicles were involved in the accident, San Francisco Fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White informed reporters.  The driver of the sedan remained on the scene and was cooperating with investigators, she said.

In losing control of the vehicle, the driver of the sedan may have struck two other cars involved before plowing through the bus stop, officials said.

The cause of the crash is being investigated by the San Francisco Police Department.
