Hyundai Car Strikes Woman Riding Her Skateboard in Vallejo
VALLEJO, CA (September 13, 2016) – A 32-year-old resident of Vallejo riding a skateboard was struck by a 2016 Hyundai Elantra at the intersection of Sonoma Boulevard and Georgia Street in Vallejo on Monday afternoon, September 12, 2016. Vallejo police officers found the woman unresponsive, yet breathing, and suffering from a severe head injury.
Hyundai Car Strikes Woman Riding Her Skateboard in VallejoFirefighters that responded to the scene reported that the victim was immediately transported to the John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. Police that responded to the scene reported that the victim is in critical condition and suffered potentially life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision.
The car owner that struck the victim did not flee and remained at the scene of the incident. Vallejo police are investigating the incident and are encouraging those who know more information to contact Corporal Jeremy Huff at the Vallejo Police Department Traffic Division at (707) 649-3569.
