Man crashes into San Jose Walmart, attacks shoppers By chris on December 28, 2013

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that 33-year-old Haamid Zaid crashed his red Oldsmobile Cutlass into the store and then procedure to assault customers. The man reportedly has a history of drug-related crimes.

Shoppers tackled Zaid and held the intoxicated man until authorities arrived. One person was hospitalized after the incident but no one was killed.

This incident happened in the Spring, but San Jose police recently released footage of the crash in order to get more witnesses and possible victims to come forward.

KGO-TV reports that Zaid is facing two counts of attempted murder in addition assault charges. Authorities are also charging Zaid with hit-and-run and vandalism. No bail was given to Zaid because a local judge deemed Zaid to be a threat to the public.

Two months prior to the incident Zaid allegedly crashed into a San Jose car wash.
