In a recent post we discussed a fatal pedestrian accident which killed a man in the Tenderloin district. The man was a 38-year-old father of three who was killed after a taxi went through a red light, was hit by a car, and then spun into the crosswalk.

CBS News reports that the cab driver was allegedly Reza Eslaminia, who was part of the infamous "Billionaire Boys Club," a group of young investors who allegedly murdered Eslaminia's father in a botched kidnapping and extortion plot.

The deceased pedestrian's wife says she doesn't care about Eslaminia's past and that she is more focused on the wrongful death of her husband, who was killed while en route to his part-time job as a senior citizen caretaker.

The wife said she and her husband spent his last day celebrating their daughter's first birthday.

"It's not fair that they had to lose a father, that I had to lose someone that I really cared about," she said. "I feel like I'm destined to live life alone."

CBS News reports that it is likely that vehicular manslaughter charges will be filed against Eslaminia, who was imprisoned for his father's murder until he was released in 2000 on a technicality.
