According to the SF Chronicle, two different pedestrian accidents occurred just hours apart on Wednesday in San Francisco, both resulting in serious injuries.

A man riding a skateboard is in critical condition after being struck by a truck as he crossed through a red light in San Francisco. The 34 year old man was at the intersection of Eddie and Jones when the accident occurred near noon on Wednesday January 19th.

The man was given emergency CPR by Police, who then transported him to San Francisco General Hospital.

Only a few hours later, a woman was also struck in by a car at the intersection of 37th Ave. and Fulton. Apparently the woman was struck by a 79 year old man who swerved around a parked vehicle.

The woman suffered life threatening injuries and was also taken to San Francisco General Hospital.
