Candice Sannella is a trial attorney at Dolan Law Firm, PC, where she represents clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, elder abuse and neglect, premises liability, medical malpractice, civil rights violations, and disability discrimination. Based in the firm’s Oakland office, Candice brings not only strong legal skills but also a deep and personal connection to the city she has called home for most of her life.

A third-generation Oaklander, Candice has seen the city through decades of change, and through it all, she remains inspired by the resilience and character of the people who call Oakland and its surrounding cities home. For Candice, this is more than a place to live and work. It’s where her roots run deep, where she learned the values of equity and advocacy, and where she now fights to protect the rights of those harmed by negligence or systemic injustice.

Candice earned her J.D. from John F. Kennedy School of Law. During law school, she served as a judicial clerk for the Contra Costa County Superior Court and was selected as a Bay Legal Fellow in the public benefits group. She continues her public service today through her volunteer work with the Alameda County Access to Justice CLASP program, providing free legal assistance to low-income clients. Her commitment to community-based legal advocacy has been constant throughout her career, and she brings that same energy and focus to every client she represents.

Some of her favorite memories growing up include watching the Raiders play at the Coliseum, seeing the Warriors finally win a championship after nearly 40 years, and living on the parade route! She still enjoys many of the same experiences today, including visiting Chabot Space and Science Center and catching Movies in the Park at Jack London Square. 

Working out of the Dolan Law Firm’s Oakland office is a point of pride for Candice. Not only does she have knowledge about the locations involved in her cases, but she is proud to serve the neighborhoods she grew up in and connect with clients who share that history.
